Mohammed Rafi was a famous Indian Playback singer. He was born on 24 December 1924 in a Muslim Family in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. He was son of Haji Ali Mohammed and Allah Rakhi. He had 5 Brothers Mohammed Safi, Mohammed Deen, Mohammed Ismail, Mohammed Ibrahim, Mohammed Siddique and he had 2 sisters Chirag Bibi, Reshma Bibi. Mohammed Rafi was married to his first wife Basheera Bibi and In 1943, He was married to his second wife Bilquis Bano.

Mohammed has 4 sons Saeed (from the first wife) Khalid, Hamid, Sahid (from the second wife) and he has 3 daughters Parveen, Yashmin, Nashreen (from the second wife).

In 1977, He was awarded the ‘National Award’ for the song “Kya Hua Tera Wada” from the film “Hum Kisise Kum Naheen”.

Mohammed died on 31 July 1980 in Mumbai, India by the ‘Heart-Attack’.
