Unknown Facts
Veteran Punjabi actor and comedian, Jaswinder Bhalla’s son Pukhraj Bhalla got married in his hometown in Punjab recently. According to a source, “The girl is from Patiala and is now a Canadian citizen.” Though Pukhraj has not shared any wedding photos on his social media handle, his father Jaswinder had shared a video from the cocktail pre-wedding party. In another video shared by Pakistani actor and comedian, Iftikhar Thakur Pukhraj and his newly wed bride were seen dancing with Jaswinder after their wedding. While his bride looked resplendent in a bright red lehenga, Pukhraj also stuck to the traditions and wore a beige coloured sherwani and red turban to match his bride’s bridal wear.
The source did not tell us whether Pukhraj had been in a relationship with the girl, or whether it was an arranged marriage.
While Pukhraj had made his debut as an actor and acted in films with his initial films being ‘Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua’, ‘Vaisakhi List’, and ‘Harjeeta’ among others, his recent film was with his father, the comic caper, ‘Jinne Jamme Saare Nikamme.’ In 2018, Pukhraj also donned the mantle of a singer and lent his voice to the song, ‘Zaalma.’ However, in 2020 he picked up his singing passion enthusisatically and released three single, ‘Countless’ featuring the late singer Sardool Sikander’s son Alaap Sikander, ‘Hostel Boliyan’ and ‘Dil Haare.
