On 28 February 1944, the child born to Pandit Indramani Jain of Aligarh cried but he did not open his eyes. The doctor came The eyelids were opened surgically. Growing up, this child reached the Mumbai film industry by the name of Ravindra Jain and his extraordinary talent not only gave melody to films but also serials like ‘Ramayana’ took him from house to house. Tarachand Barjatya’s Rajshree Productions and Raj Kapoor’s RK Films played an important role in Jain’s career. The story is famous that when Jain sang ‘Ek Radha Ek Meera…’ in a meeting in Delhi, Raj Kapoor asked Jain as soon as the song was over, whether he gave this song to anyone or not. I will use it. You will give the music of my next film. Kapoor had immediately booked this song by giving a quarter of a rupee to Ravindra Jain. After losing the biggest bet of his career in 1971’s ‘Mera Naam Joker’, Raj Kapoor was crippled. Had suffered a great financial loss. But the showman again played another bet in the form of ‘Bobby’ (1973). New Hero (Rishi Kapoor), New Heroine (Dimple Kapadia), New Singers (Narendra Chanchal, Shailendra Singh). Laxmikant-Pyarelal, who came to RK, had brought out ‘Bobby’ on the basis of their music, so Raj handed over ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ in 1978 and ‘Prem Rog’ in 1982 and did not disappoint. Despite this, Raj Kapoor, immersed in the beauty and music of the mountains, forgetting Lakshmi and Pyare, brought Ravindra Jain in ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’. It celebrated Diamond Jubilee and in bonus Raj gave Ravindra Jain the next film ‘Hina’. Spent a month in Kashmir to prepare for ‘Hina’. He also fed brinjal bhurta made by his own hands in Loni’s farm house. Despite this, being a Jain, Dadu did not eat brinjal.

एक तरफ रवींद्र जैन 'रामायण' से घर-घर पहुंचे तो दूसरी तरफ राजश्री की 'सौदागर', 'अंखियों के झरोखों से', 'गीत गाता चल', 'नदिया के पार' जैसी सामाजिक, पारिवारिक फिल्मों के उनके गाने बहुत लोकप्रिय थे। चलिए चलते हैं। रवींद्र जैन ने गीतकार, गायक और संगीतकार के रूप में हिंदी सिनेमा में उल्लेखनीय काम किया। आज रविंद्र जैन की 76वीं जयंती है।
28 फरवरी 1944 को अलीगढ़ के पंडित इंद्रमणि जैन से पैदा हुआ बच्चा रोया लेकिन उसने अपनी आंखें नहीं खोलीं। डॉक्टर आया, ऑपरेशन करके पलकें खोली गईं। बच्चे को तेज रोशनी और पढ़ने के तनाव से बचाने के लिए सावधान रहें। तो हुआ यह कि पाँच कबीलों का अध्ययन कर बालक को पढ़ने-लिखने से हटा दिया गया। पिता ने हारमोनियम पकड़ा। सोचा आंखों पर दबाव नहीं पड़ेगा, संगीत मानसिक शांति देगा। इस तरह एक भाई की साहित्यिक रुचि से बच्चे की चमकती आँखों में अलीगढ़ के मंदिरों के भजन, शब्द और संगीत खिलने लगे। बड़ा होकर यह बच्चा रवींद्र जैन के नाम से मुंबई फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में पहुंचा और उसकी असाधारण प्रतिभा ने न सिर्फ फिल्मों को धुन दी बल्कि 'रामायण' जैसे सीरियल भी उसे घर-घर ले गए। ताराचंद बड़जात्या की राजश्री प्रोडक्शंस और राज कपूर की आरके फिल्म्स ने जैन के करियर में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। कथा प्रसिद्ध है कि जब जैन ने दिल्ली में एक सभा में 'एक राधा एक मीरा...' गाया तो राज कपूर ने गीत समाप्त होते ही जैन से पूछा कि यह गीत किसी को दिया है या नहीं। मैं इसका इस्तेमाल करूंगा। आप मेरी अगली फिल्म का संगीत देंगे। कपूर ने रवींद्र जैन को एक चौथाई रुपये देकर तुरंत इस गाने को बुक कर लिया था। 1971 की 'मेरा नाम जोकर' में अपने करियर का सबसे बड़ा दांव हारने के बाद राज कपूर अपंग हो गए थे। भारी आर्थिक नुकसान हुआ था। लेकिन शोमैन ने फिर से 'बॉबी' (1973) के रूप में एक और दांव खेला। न्यू हीरो (ऋषि कपूर), न्यू हीरोइन (डिंपल कपाड़िया), न्यू सिंगर्स (नरेंद्र चंचल, शैलेंद्र सिंह)। न शैलेंद्र-हसरत, न मुकेश, न शंकर-जयकिशन। जयकिशन का निधन हो गया था। आरके के पास आए लक्ष्मीकांत-प्यारेलाल ने अपने संगीत के दम पर 'बॉबी' निकाली थी, इसलिए राज ने 1978 में 'सत्यम शिवम सुंदरम' और 1982 में 'प्रेम रोग' सौंप दिया और निराश नहीं किया। इसके बावजूद पहाड़ों की खूबसूरती और संगीत में डूबे राज कपूर लक्ष्मी और प्यारे को भूलकर 'राम तेरी गंगा मैली' में रवींद्र जैन को लेकर आए। इसने डायमंड जुबली मनाई और बोनस में राज ने रवींद्र जैन को अगली फिल्म 'हिना' दी। 'हिना' की तैयारी के लिए एक महीना कश्मीर में बिताया। लोनी के फार्म हाउस में उन्होंने अपने हाथों से बनाया बैगन का भुरता भी खिलाया। इसके बावजूद दादू जैन होने के कारण बैगन नहीं खाते थे।
