Unknown Facts
A consumer forum in Ajmer, Rajasthan has given relief to Ajay Devgan in a case related to his film De De Pyaar De. A case was registered against Ajay Devgan for not showing stunts on the film’s poster. The case was filed in Ajmer Consumer Court. Directed by Akiv Ali, De De Pyaar De released in theaters in May 2019 and starred Ajay Devgn along with Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh. The film also starred Jimmy Shergill, Alok Nath, Javed Jaffrey and Kumud Mishra in pivotal roles.
Tarun Agarwal, a resident of Ajmer, had filed a complaint in the consumer court in 2019. The complaint states that a stunt scene was shown in the poster of the film, which as per Dainik Bhaskar’s report was missing in the film.
The complainant held Maya Mandir Cinema and Ajay Devgn responsible for the same and claimed compensation of ₹451000 for financial and mental damages and ₹11000 for litigation charges. The complainant also sought issuance of clarification regarding misleading advertisement and unethical business. Advocates Amit Gandhi and Prachul Chopra, appearing for Ajay, told the forum that he only acted in the film and cannot be held responsible for the publicity and publicity material. The counsel for the complainant argued that Ajay actively promoted the poster and hence he should be held responsible.
A bench of Dinesh Chaturvedi and Ramesh Kumar Sharma said an actor has nothing to do with the decision to edit hoardings, posters or parts of a film. The court accepted Ajay’s request and asked for his name to be removed from the complaint.

राजस्थान के अजमेर में एक उपभोक्ता फोरम ने अजय देवगन को उनकी फिल्म दे दे प्यार दे से जुड़े एक मामले में राहत दी है. अजय देवगन के खिलाफ फिल्म के पोस्टर पर स्टंट दिखाने पर फिल्म में नहीं दिखाने का मामला दर्ज किया गया था। मामला अजमेर कंज्यूमर कोर्ट में दायर किया गया था। अकिव अली द्वारा निर्देशित, दे दे प्यार दे मई 2019 में सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज़ हुई और इसमें अजय देवगन के साथ तब्बू और रकुल प्रीत सिंह थीं। फिल्म में जिमी शेरगिल, आलोक नाथ, जावेद जाफ़री और कुमुद मिश्रा ने भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिकाओं में अभिनय किया।
अजमेर के रहने वाले तरुण अग्रवाल ने 2019 में कंज्यूमर कोर्ट में शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी। शिकायत में कहा गया है कि फिल्म के पोस्टर में एक स्टंट सीन दिखाया गया है, जो दैनिक भास्कर की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार फिल्म में गायब था।
शिकायतकर्ता ने माया मंदिर सिनेमा और अजय देवगन को इसके लिए जिम्मेदार ठहराया और वित्तीय और मानसिक क्षति के लिए ₹451000 और मुकदमेबाजी शुल्क के लिए ₹11000 के मुआवजे का दावा किया। शिकायतकर्ता ने भ्रामक विज्ञापन और अनैतिक कारोबार के संबंध में स्पष्टीकरण जारी करने की भी मांग की। अजय की ओर से अधिवक्ता अमित गांधी और प्रचुल चोपड़ा ने मंच को बताया कि उन्होंने केवल फिल्म में अभिनय किया और प्रचार और प्रचार सामग्री के लिए उन्हें जिम्मेदार नहीं ठहराया जा सकता। शिकायतकर्ता के वकील ने तर्क दिया कि अजय ने पोस्टर को सक्रिय रूप से बढ़ावा दिया और इसलिए उसे जिम्मेदार ठहराया जाना चाहिए।
दिनेश चतुर्वेदी और रमेश कुमार शर्मा की पीठ ने कहा कि एक अभिनेता का होर्डिंग, पोस्टर या किसी फिल्म के कुछ हिस्सों को संपादित करने के निर्णय से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है। अदालत ने अजय के अनुरोध को स्वीकार कर लिया और शिकायत से उसका नाम हटाने को कहा।
