Unknown Facts
For anyone who is fond of Bollywood and seems to remember everything very much, flops and hits in some part of his memory, the association with Zayed Khan is very illustrated. The actor’s first memory is of his debut film which featured Esha Deol and he was dancing to Mohabbat Hai Mirchi, and the second and probably the strongest memory of seeing him on screen is definitely Main Hoon Na. He played the role of Lucky, Bhai and second fiddle to everyone’s favorite Shahrukh. Also, Zayed did a pretty good job TBH. By 2022, man is all set to make a comeback, exercising and preparing physically and mentally for some good cause. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, he talked about a lot of things and among them, he also mentioned his Tete with Shah Rukh when he was starting shooting for the film with Farah Khan. “I wanted Farah to do a song for my film Chura Liya Hai Tumne. I was reaching out to her for that and she didn’t know me well. I was always introducing myself as son of Mr. Sanjay Khan and then brother of Fardeen because nobody knew me at that time. He said come and I went to his office, and I was in Shahrukh Khan’s office. I didn’t know why. He asked me what are you doing? I said that I am doing a film now. He said that we are considering you for the role of Main Hoon Na. And walking in is Shah Rukh Khan, a very generous and lovely gentleman,” he says.
He then mentioned that he had talked about the film they were planning to make and in the middle of the conversation, he was taken aback by Shah Rukh’s sudden questions, which took Zayed by surprise. “He (SRK) makes me sit down and says ‘But brother ek baat bata, tujhe acting aati hai? I was a little puzzled by this question. Immediately in my mind it wanted to say that I was born in a family of actors, So acting is in my blood. But of course, I said, ‘Come man, I am born to act’ and all that.” Well, honestly, if Shah Rukh asked that question, even a veteran actor would be added for a minute, Zayed was relatively new to the industry even then.
