Harshdeep Kaur is an Indian female singer and musician. She belongs to a Sikh family, she is famous for her Bollywood songs, Punjabi songs, and Sufi songs. Born 16 December 1986 she will be 36 years old in 2022. Her birthplace and hometown are Delhi, India. She began her Bollywood career as a singer at the age of 16 years old.
Education:
She completed her schooling at the Springdale school and a new era public school in New Delhi. She graduated from SNDT University in Mumbai, Maharashtra. While studying in New Delhi, she started learning to sing when she was six years old. She learned Indian classical and folk music from Mr. Tejpal Singh, popularly known as the Singh Brothers, and to learn Western music from George Pullinkala, she joined the Delhi Music Theatre.
Personal details:
She comes from a musical background family. Her father, named “Savinder Singh” is the owner of a musical instruments factory. Her mother was a homemaker. She has one sibling named “Simran Kaur bal”. She married on 20 march 2015 with “Mankrit Singh” at Mumbai. She also loves to play Piano.
Music career:
She started her singing career with the song “Sajna Main Haari” from the movie “Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai” in 2003. Over the years, she got many more songs to sing in Bollywood. She became famous in 2006 with the song “Ik Onkar” under the famous music composer “A.R Rahman” from the movie “Rang de Basanti’.Over the years, she got many more songs to sing in Bollywood. In 2008 she attend her first reality show named “Junoon- Kuch Kar dikhana. She sing many songs in Bollywood such as :
“Chaand Ki Katori”, “Jhak Maar Ke” “Katiya Karoon” “Heer” “Tu Hoor Pari” Kabira” (Encore) “Gud Naal Ishq Mitha” “Sachiyaan” and “Tinak Tinak” and many more.
Awards:
- She won Best Devotional Album at Global Indian Music Academy Awards for the song ‘Ik Onkar”.
- She won Best Female Singer at Indian Television Academy Awards for “Bani Ishq Da Kalma”.
- She won Best Female Playback Singer at the International Indian Film Academy Awards and zee cine awards for the song of “Dilbaro” in 2019.
