Actor Gajraj Rao has revealed his wife Sanjana Rao’s reaction after sharing her apprehensions about her role in the 2018 film Badhaai Ho. In a recent interview, he recalled that he had called him neither ‘Ranbir Kapoor or Ranveer Singh’ and that he should play the role. Helmed by Amit Sharma, Badhaai Ho revolves around a 50-year-old woman who becomes pregnant and has to face the wrath of the society. The film stars the late Surekha Sikri, Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta and Sanya Malhotra. It completed three years on Monday. This film has received many National Awards.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, he said, “Badhaai Ho changed my life! Amit Sharma (director) and I have known each other for more than two decades. When he narrated the script to me, I found it amazing. My first thought was, ‘Is this real? Am I really getting this offer?’, before realizing it was actually real… but then, my fears surfaced and I was conscious Whether I can do justice to Jitendra Kaushik’s character as I was never given such a big role before.
