Mudasir Ali, who was born on November 21, 1987, is known as a music composer and Sufi vocalist. Best known for his films which are Ya Ali, Cinessence in Kashmir (2018), and Country of Blind (2022).
He has also composed music for a few independent albums and motion pictures in Rajasthani and other Indian languages. He belongs to Kashmir and always wanted to be a Bollywood singer right from an early age. Only a few people are aware that Mudasir Ali, an aspiring musician, used to sing at police functions in the starting days of his career to lift the spirits of the weary officers.
He launched his career as a music composer for movies by writing songs and composing music for the movie “Bumper Draw”. After that, he got the opportunity to compose the music for the action movie “Four Pillars of Basement.”
Mudasir got a dream come true chance when he worked with renowned Indian singer Shubha Mudgal to sing together the title song for Girish Malik’s movie Jal in 2014. The movie got national recognition when it was chosen for the Panorama Selection of the International Film Festival of India.
He also has made an album “Dil Ki Udaan Sarhad Ke Paar Hai” which was based on indo-Pak launched by veteran Mahesh Bhatt.
He has also got an opportunity to work with renowned singer Asha Bhonsle on a duet song for the movie “Lucknow Times”. According to him, it was a special day for him.
Mudasir Ali is also known in the film industry as a Kashmiri sensation Sufi singer and is considered the reborn voice of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan due to his high vocal pitch.
He has also worked with famous Pakistani Qawwal Hamza Akram to compose and perform the vocals.
One of Mudasir Ali’s songs from the movie ‘Lucknow Times’ received a nomination for “Upcoming Music Composer of the Year” at the San Francisco International Film Festival. He was also chosen as the Guest of Honor and awarded for his accomplishments in the field of music as a singer-composer at the San Francisco Global International Festival.
He is also famous for his live shows and performing them, he often travels across the world and has given his brilliant performance at more than 500 corporate events all over the world.
He has worked as a playback singer for many famous composers like Sonu Nigam, Bickram Ghosh, Vivek Kar, and Rajeeb-Mouna.
