Namita Agrawal is one of the well-known Odia singers from India. She completed her education at Cuttack. At the age of eight, she came under the tutelage of Guru Sri Akhil Kumar Lenka and started taking formal training in Odissi, Chhanda, and Champu.
She belongs to the Nemala region which is known as the land of Saint Achyutanand Das. So due to the inheritance of a cultural legacy, she has an affection for religiosity and spiritual devotion right from an early age.
Namita was privileged to grow up in a musically rich family that’s why she got her family’s assistance in learning to sing as she got the training to sing the traditional Jagannath Jananas from her elder grandfather, Late Kashinath Das, and her younger grandfather, Late Dasarathi Das, and she also got formal music training from her home musical gurus, namely Kumari Niroj Nalini Kuanr, Sri Ramani Ranjan Jena, and Sri Bishwanath Rao, and Sri Harmohan Khuntia.
Through her melodious voice, Namita Agrawal has contributed a lot to Odia Devotional songs, Odia Puranas, Odia Bhagabata, Traditional Odia Bhajans, Modern Songs, and Film Songs.
In 1992, She married Sitaram Agrawal, co-founder of the music company JE Cassettes. After one year in 1993, she became the mother of twin sons named Sidharth and Sarthak.
