Meenal Jain was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India on 14 June 1985. She was a top 6 finalist in the reality show Indian Idol 2 on Indian television. On 28 February she was voted out.
Jain is living in Mumbai for the past 10 years and finished her graduate studies at Mithibai College, Mumbai. Newly, she did performances with musicians Abhijeet Sawant, Amit Sana, Sonu Nigam, and Rex D’Souza. Currently, she is co-hosting a performance “Music, Masti Aur Dhoom”.She also provided the singing voice for Barbie in the Hindi dubbed version of the 2007 animated movie Barbie as the Island Princess. She also sang the song “Sakhi” during Aamir Khan’s performance of Satyamev Jayate’s 7th episode which was on domestic brutality.
