Malkit Singh who was born on 13 September 1962 in Hussainpur, Punjab is an England-based Punjabi bhangra singer. He was brought up in Nakodar and moved to Birmingham in 1984. Malkit’s better half is Harbans Kaur Singh and they have a daughter.

Singh using his singing talent contributed to many Hindi films such as Home Run (2011) and Monsoon Wedding (2001). Singh became the first Punjabi singer who was conferred with an MBE by Queen Elizabeth II honor in 2008.

There are many popular tracks that belong to this Singer such as “Gur Nalo Ishq Mitha”, “Tootak Tootak Tootiyan”, “Kurri Garam Jayee”, “Dekh li vilyait”, “Chal Hun”, and “Jind Mahi”. He also sang for the movie Bend It Like Beckham.

In 1997, He was conferred with the Recognition of the City of Los Angeles for Services to the Indian Community.
