Kanika Joshi is a notable playback singer and music trainer in the Indian film Industry. A passion for music and a unique musical talent predisposed Kanika toward music from an early age. She began her singing career at the age of 7 and later started getting training under the guidance of Shree Mahesh Chandra Jha Ji. She also started participating in competitions at state and national levels and in no time became the best singer in Uttarakhand, Sangam Kala Group among many others.
Soon after finishing her studies, Kanika along with her father arrived in Mumbai to follow her dream of music and was admitted to Suresh Wadkar’s Ajivasan Music Academy to learn professional singing. She also started participating in reality shows on television such as Voice of India, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, 5, etc.
Presently, she has been giving training to the music students at Suresh Wadkar’s Ajivasan Music Academy and also working as a playback singer in the field of music. In 2012, she sang a song “Chadhti Jawani” for the movie “Aalaap”. She also gave her voice to Dedh Ishqiya, Coke Studio, Bajirao Mastani, and many more. She is also known as one of the founder members of the ASM Music Academy.
