Anupama Raag, born in Lucknow- Utter Pradesh, is an Indian musician and a bureaucrat in the Indian government. She was a student at Bhatkhande Music Institute. She took her training in ancient music under the guidance of Ustad Gulshan Bharti by Lucknow Gharana and Yogendra Bhat of Gwalior Gharana, under guru-shishya parampara.
She performs for public concerts and has been performing continually for the Doordarshan and Lucknow Mahotsav. Along with working as an artist in the music industry, she has also been serving Lucknow Development Authority as a Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Commerce and the Special Operations Officer.
Shalu Ke Thumke, starring Mallika Sherawat, was her first song in the film Bin Bulaaye Baarati directed by Anand Raj, became popular among the masses and was also much appreciated.
She also sang the song “Nazar Se Nazar Mile” from the movie “Miley Naa Miley Hum” together with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, also collaborated with Mika while singing for the movie Zila Ghaziabad, and Madhuri Dixit for the movie Gulab Gang. Anupama has also released many music tracks for movies and albums as well.
Presently, She is working as a compiler for the Salman Khan Production and Yash Raj Films along with other works.
She has also sung, written, and composed a theme song for Lucknow Development Authority and for Uttar Pradesh Proud Uttar Pradesh Government Song for them she was highly appreciated.
She also composed a jingle for the Indian Gramin Cricket League sung by Sharib Toshi and this work was praised by CM Akhilesh Yadav. She is also working for TV commercials as a song and jingle composer.
Anupama also released her self-written song Lal Dupatta featuring actress Urvashi Rautela and singer Mika Singh. It has earned more than 9 lakh views to date.
She was honored for her magnificent work with the “Yash Bharati” Award by the Uttar Pradesh government for 2016—2017
