Ameen Sayani is the most famous Indian Radio Announcer. He was born on 21 December 1932 in Gwalior, British India. He is the son of Late Jan Mohamed Sayani (Physician) and Late Kulsum Sayani (Social Activist). He has an elder brother Hamid Sayani (Radio Jockey). He was married to Lata Rama Muttu. He has a son Rajil Sayani.

His favorite actor is Amitabh Bachchan, his favorite actress is Meena Kumari, and his favorite singers are Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle.

Ameen’s first program of “Geetmala” on “Radio Ceylon”, he received almost 9000 appreciation letters. He has also worked as an Announcer in many films “Bhoot Bangla”, “Boxer”, “Teen Devian”, and “Qatl”.

Ameen has produced and compered over 54000 radio programs and 19000 spots/jingles since 1951 in India.
