Ahmad Faraz was a scriptwriter. He was born on 12 January 1931 in Kohat, NWFP, British India. He has 3 sons who are Saadi, Shibli Faraz and Sarmad Faraz.
Faraz is credited for writing renowned poems including “Pas Andaaz”, “Sab Awazain Meri”, “Khuwab Gul”, “Janan Janan”, and “Ghazal Bahana Karon”. He was the chairman of “Pakistan Academy of Letter”.
In 2004, Faraz was awarded the “Sitara-i-Imtiaz” and “Hilal-e-Imtiaz”. He was awarded the “Numerous National” and “International Awards”. Ahmad was awarded the “Hilal-e-Pakistan” and “Nigar Award”.
He died in Islamabad, Islamabad Capital Territory, Pakistan on 25 August 2008.
