Geetika Manjrekar is working in the Indian film industry as a playback singer and has performed in many successful projects. She is on Facebook, Instagram, and youtube and actively engages on these online platforms. She has been part of a hit movie named “Bajirao Mastani” starring Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, and Ranveer Singh in which she sang three songs as ‘Albela Sajan,’ ‘Fitoori,’ and ‘Jayabheri’.
For her magnificent work, she won 2 awards at the Radio Mirchi Music Awards in 2016. She also got the chance to win Raag- based song of the year and Film Album of the year.
In 2018, She along with her husband, a tabla player, performed at the Sai Darbar during an event. In her small career, she has also judged many competitions and events such as a Talent Show organized by the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and another event organized by FIA in Ohio.
In 2014, She also sang for the movie Dedh Ishqiya. She took training under the guidance of her guru Suresh Wadekar. she is also a well-known Hindustani Classical Music teacher.
In 2013, she was working in MTV Coke Studio season 3 as a backing female singer. There are some songs sung by her for Studio Sound Garage. She keeps making for her youtube channel cover versions of the songs ‘Bahara Bahara’, ‘Ae Watan,’ ‘Ae Re Pavan,’ ‘Kuhu Kuhu,’ ‘Roz Roz Daali Daali,’ ‘,’ ‘Ek Radhe Ek Meera,’ ‘Humne Dekhi Hai,’ ‘Roz Shaam Aati Thi,’ ‘Jhoote Nahin Bole,’ ‘Barso Re Megha,’ ‘Lag Ja Gale,’ ‘Main Ek Sadi Se Baithi Hoon,’ and a tribute to Legend Asha Bhosle.
The Marathi songs cover that she also made, are ‘Wajle ki Bara,’ Marathi gazal, Ganesh Bhajan, ‘Hrudayi Preet Jagaate,’ ‘Sundara te Dhyaan,’ ‘Shukra tara Manda vaara,’ and ‘Hi gulabi hava’. There are many bhajans including ‘Krishnamayi Radha,’ ‘Manamohan Kanha Raas Rachaiya,’ ‘Ek Radha Ek Meera’, and ‘Sundara te Dhyaan’ that she sang on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami and uploaded on her youtube channel.
She is well-known for her singing style which is Raag-based compositions and she made a whole series of these songs for her channel. As we know the title of these videos is Raas Yaman. It is a medley of various compositions based on Raag Yaman, Yaman kalian, and Bheempalaas.
