Ramchandra Baryanji Dwivedi is an Indian poet, born as the son of Narayan Bhatt in an Audichya Brahmin family in the town of Badnagar in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh on 6 February 1915, he is famous as a poet Pradeep but the real name of the poet Pradeep was Ramchandra Narayan Dwivedi.

Suryakant Tripathi ‘Nirala’ wrote an article on Pradeep in the February 1938 issue of Lucknow’s magazine ‘Madhuri’ and put a golden seal on his poetic talent. With his blessings, Ramchandra came to be known as ‘Pradeep’. And during this time he got an invitation to participate in a poet’s conference being held in Mumbai. Hearing his songs at the Kavi Sammelan, the owner of ‘Bombay Talkies Studio’, Himanshu Rai was impressed and offered Pradeep to write the lyrics for the film ‘Kangan’ under his banner.
After the success of his songs in the 1939 film ‘Kangan’, Pradeep became successful in making his mark in the film world as a lyricist. In 1943, Poet Pradeep also wrote songs for five films Bombay Talkies – Anjaan, Kismat, Jhula, Naya Sansar, and Punarmilan.
His most famous patriotic song Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo is sung by Lata Mangeskar. Which was released on 26 January 1963.
